Grain shipments were at the level of the first half of April 2021, but still lag significantly behind May 2020.
In the first half of May, 732 thousand tons of grain were exported through the ports of Russia.
Compared to the same period last year, the decline was 53% (1,572 thousand tons).
The internal structure of grain exports has changed and the degree of decline in shipments is different.

The share of wheat in the total turnover decreased by 37%.

Wheat continues to have the largest drop in export volumes: 71%.

And, although the seaports of Russia in January-April 2021 reduced the volume of grain transshipment by 13.2% compared to the same period in 2020, in general, for 10 months of 2020/21 Russia exported about 35.1 million tons of grain, which accounts for 98% of the export potential.
