An emergency regime has been declared in two districts (Khabarovsk and Lazo).
As in many parts of Russia, the end of June in the region was marked by heavy rainfall, which led to a rise in the water level in the rivers.
As a result, waterlogging of soils on agricultural lands and the death of crops.
According to initial estimates, the damage caused to agricultural producers is estimated at 21 million rubles.
A total of 11 farms in the region were affected, and the area of damage was 1 thousand 358 hectares.
In the Khabarovsk region 864.4 hectares were affected.
Of them:
grain crops — 64 hectares
soybeans — 560 hectares
forage crops — 240 hectares.
In the Lazo district the damage is established on 520.9 hectares of agricultural land:
grain crops — 203 hectares
forage crops — 275.6 hectares
soybeans — 39.3 hectares
potatoes — 3 hectares.
Based on the register of affected farms, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will make a decision on the allocation of financial assistance.
Rains are expected in the Khabarovsk Territory in the coming days, a significant increase in the Amur level and the release of flood waters into the territory of the Territory are predicted.
In the region, the flooding of summer cottages and agricultural lands is expected, and Khabarovsk itself is preparing for a full-scale flooding of the city.
Under the current conditions, the regional administration recommends that farm managers insure all sown areas.
