Commissioning of a logistics complex for the storage of plant protection products and seeds is planned in the Krasnodar Territory

Investment in the project will amount to 1 billion rubles.

In 2019, at the Russian Investment Forum held in Sochi, an agreement was signed with the German company Rhenus Logistics on the construction of a logistics complex.

The Class A warehouse complex will be located in the Bryukhovetskaya district of the Krasnodar Territory and will become one of the largest in the Kuban.

The area of the complex, consisting of two warehouses, will be 10 thousand square meters each. This will ensure the simultaneous storage of 120 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, pesticides, elite seeds and similar products.

The commissioning of such a complex is extremely important for the region, which ensures the country’s food security.

Agricultural producers need to have stocks of seeds and protective equipment all year round in order to get high yields.

Rhenus Logistics and its projects in Russia

Rhenus Logistics provides comprehensive logistics services, while being one of the leading European operators.

The company has an annual turnover of 5.5 billion euros and the warehouse space it uses is 3 million square meters.

The main activities are contract logistics, transport logistics, port logistics and public transport.

The complex under construction in the Krasnodar Territory is not the first project for a German company carried out on the Russian market: similar projects have already been implemented in Moscow, Voronezh and Smolensk.

The customs and logistics terminal in Smolensk has an area of 2.5 thousand square meters, and in the Moscow region — 20 thousand square meters.

The construction of the complex in Bryukhovetsky district was started at the end of 2020, upon completion of which the need for high-quality cargo handling and transportation will be satisfied in the region.

“Upon the readiness of the object, we will provide our customers with a complete solution — from transport to shipment and distribution,” said Stefan Peters, head of the Rhenus Group.

Also, this complex should become a connecting link between cargo flows from Europe and Asia.

In general, the Krasnodar Territory has been linked with Germany for many years by fruitful cooperation: business in the region is being developed by world-famous companies.

More than 55 billion euros — this is their contribution to the region’s economy over the past five years.

And this is not the limit: the Krasnodar Territory is one of the most attractive regions for foreign investment.
