Shares of PJSC NCSP on April 15, 2022 at the moment grew by more than 26%.
Sanctions pressure on Russia is increasing — more and more European countries refuse to supply Russian goods, and the list of such goods will expand.
First of all, we are talking about the supply of petroleum and petroleum products.
There are two ways to transport over long distances:
— pipelines directed towards the EU since Soviet times
— transportation by sea using tankers and ports.
On average, about 150 million tons of petroleum went to the EU through pipelines per year, and this volume will continue to decline.
Accordingly, transshipment through seaports will increase and be reoriented to friendly countries.
The new reality will inevitably lead to a change in supply chains, and, according to experts, the beneficiaries of such changes will be, first of all, the ports of Novorossiysk and Primorsk (the largest Russian oil loading port in the Baltic).
On April 15, during trading on the MICEX, shares of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group includes two of the largest ports in Russia — the port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea and the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, as well as the port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad region) at the moment, grew by more than 26% and continues to grow.
In the first quarter of 2022, petroleum transshipment compared to the same period in 2021 showed the following dynamics:
Caspian Basin: -42%
Far East Basin: +2%
Azov-Black Sea Basin: +9%
Arctic Basin: +12%
Baltic Basin: +34%.
Transshipment of petroleum products:
Azov-Black Sea Basin: -4%
Baltic Basin: -1%
Far East Basin: +6%
Arctic Basin: +64%
The shares of PJSC Far East Shipping Company (FESCO is the parent company of the large Russian logistics group FESCO, which is the leader in container transportation through the Far East along sea lines to / from Asia, as well as the largest port container operator in the region) also show significant growth after the opening of trading on the IIM in March 2022:
Comparative dynamics of changes in the value of shares of the ports of Novorossiysk and the Far East:

Transshipment of opetroleum and liquefied gas increased noticeably in all basins (+12.8% and +10.3%, respectively).
