The agro-industrial complex needs a full-fledged managerial community

The creation of a commission for the development of the agro-industrial complex and the processing industry was initiated.

In 1999, the ASSOCIATION OF MANAGERS was formed in Russia — one of the leading business associations in the country.

This is an independent expert platform that allows business representatives to develop consolidated positions on topical social and professional issues.

The Association includes heads of large Russian companies and small and medium-sized businesses.

More than a third of the Association’s corporate members are representatives of the real sector of the economy.

The most widely represented in the organization is the financial sector, IT and telecommunications, consulting, management companies and diversified holdings.

Step Agroholding, one of the largest agricultural companies in the South of Russia, has joined the Association of Managers.

The company develops crop production, dairy farming, logistics and grain trading, sugar and grocery trading.

The land bank of the Agroholding is 578,000 hectares. The company annually harvests about 1.8 million tons of crops, of which about 1 million tons is wheat.

The company’s assets are located in the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, as well as in the Rostov Region.

The agricultural holding plans to further increase its land bank, develop its own transshipment and logistics capacities, as well as develop in the agricultural trading segment.

The agricultural holding not only became a member of the Association, but also initiated the creation of a new division — a commission for the development of the agro-industrial complex and the processing industry.

The company believes that the creation of the commission will become another tool to support agricultural producers.

As part of the work of the commission, the company plans to discuss issues of relations within the framework of state support, the introduction of digital technologies in the agro-industrial complex, the formation of a unified system for the traceability of grain and its products, as well as issues of import substitution.

The new division will officially begin its work in October.

Agroholding also plans to participate in other committees of the Association, taking part in discussions of key issues:

Formation of new programs for training and advanced training of personnel in the agro-industrial complex

Improving supply chains and interaction between suppliers and customers

Entrepreneurial activity in the agro-industrial sector.

Given that the agro-industrial complex is one of the most dynamically developing industries, the time has come to create a full-fledged managerial community.
