Exports of agricultural products from Brazil in the first 10 months of this year increased by 33% compared to the same period last year.
According to a statement by the Merco Press portal, during this time the country managed to earn about $136 billion from agricultural exports.
At the same time, soy has become the main product that is shipped abroad.
Over the indicated 10 months, its deliveries amounted to 56 billion dollars. Compared to last year, this is an increase of 29%.
In second place in terms of volume increase is meat, its share in Brazilian agricultural exports was 29%.
Approximately half is fresh beef. Also, a significant proportion is accounted for by the chicken.
China is the main buyer
The Celestial Empire occupies a leading position in the structure of Brazilian agricultural exports, because it is the main buyer.
He paid Brazil about $45 billion, which is 33% of the total amount that he managed to earn from the sale of his products abroad to Brazilian farmers in 10 months of this year.
True, the share of China in this structure has slightly decreased this year: from 36% to 33%.
Nevertheless, the volumes of deliveries in absolute numbers increased and China still purchased more agricultural products than the other 10 countries, which account for the main export volumes.
Soybeans are one of the main types of agricultural products that China is actively purchasing.
This item is up 22%.
Overall, China purchased 70% of Brazil’s oilseed complex products for export. The amount received by Brazil from these deliveries amounted to almost $30 billion.
The animal protein supply sector, in particular meat, has also grown by almost 30%.
Approximately half of the volume was beef, with China purchasing about 68% of this product. This brought about 7 billion dollars to Brazilian farmers.
As for chicken meat, its exports brought in 8 billion dollars.
And in this, China has also become the main sales market: it paid about $1 billion for meat.
In addition, there are big plans for the export of corn.
It is planned that in the new season the volume of its export abroad can reach up to 50 million tons.
This is facilitated by 2 main factors: a large corn crop in the country and active demand from the same China.
Recently, an agreement was signed with him, which allows Brazilian companies to supply corn and peanuts to the Chinese market with virtually no restrictions.
It is planned that China will be able to purchase up to 5 million tons of corn, which will make it the largest buyer in this segment as well.
