A French company is starting to produce fuel from rapeseed oil

The French company Alters announced the launch of a new product on the market — fuel made from rapeseed oil.

It is already known that the new product will be called PUR100.

This is another development of the Alters company, which offers environmentally friendly fuel that reduces emissions of harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere when compared with ordinary diesel fuel.

Moreover, it is emphasized that the reduction of emissions occurs at all stages — from the cultivation of rapeseed and the production of fuel from it and ending with its use in the engine of motor vehicles.

Among other things, it is planned that a massive transition to such environmentally friendly fuel will also support French farmers and will contribute to the development of rural areas in this country, as it will provide additional finance due to the increased demand for rapeseed and rapeseed oil.

“In regenerative farming, reduced tillage protects soil life, favors organic rather than mineral fertilizers, and the soil is not left bare or eroded.

For example, if no-till or no-till farming practices are adopted, because the soil is not disturbed or is only minimally disturbed, its biological activity increases, as does its organic matter content.

Establishment of plant cover and residue management are key levers. Therefore, after the rapeseed is harvested, the rest of the plant remains in the field, returning organic matter to the soil,” the company said in a statement.

It is planned that the first user of the new product may be Les Transports Seine-et-Marnais (TSM).

This company has been cooperating with Alters for a long time and actively uses its products.

This is a conscious position of the company, since it actively stands for protecting the environment, combating climate change, and supporting French farmers.

Among other things, there is evidence that when growing rapeseed, which is used for oil for the further production of fuel from it, mainly organic fertilizers are used, not mineral ones.

After harvesting, some of the plants remain in the field, which allows the necessary substances to be returned to the ecosystem.

All of this together can really have a positive impact on the environment, so experts believe that over time the popularity of environmentally friendly fuel, including those produced from rapeseed oil, will only increase.
