Agriculture is growing in popularity among young people in Russia

According to the latest data, representatives of the younger generation increasingly rate the prospects of working in the agricultural sector.

Today’s Russian students rate the prospects of working in the agricultural sector at 7-10 points out of 10, according to a survey by Rosselkhozbank.

This may indicate that the problem of the low attractiveness of the industry among young people, which significantly complicated the filling of new vacancies, has been solved to some extent.

It is interesting that many students are interested in the agro-industrial complex, since they are studying the possibility of starting their own business in this industry.

Among the factors that increase the attractiveness of agriculture, the active development of this sector in Russia at present, as well as serious government support, which helps to stay afloat even in difficult times and can be considered as one of the sources of financing, are noted.

In addition, young people are attracted by guaranteed employment in the agricultural sector, its openness to innovation and the global social mission, which consists in the fact that agriculture feeds all Russians, and is also the most important source of budget revenue.

The survey also found out that almost 70% of students at the agricultural university plan to work in their specialty.

At the same time, one of the most important factors that will determine their future place of employment for a third of respondents is the salary level. At their first job, graduates are ready to earn about 70 thousand rubles.

In addition to the income level, other factors will also influence the decision to choose a company for employment.

In particular, these are working conditions and the availability of modern equipment, as well as the possibility of career growth, a good team and proximity of the workplace to home.

At the same time, saturating agriculture with personnel is one of the most important goals of the government.

For example, the new national project «Technological Support for Food Security», the implementation of which will begin in 2025, provides, among other things, for the training of high-tech personnel for the agricultural industry.

The goal is to provide the industry with specialists by at least 95%.

To achieve this, it is supposed, among other things, to create agro-technological classes throughout the country.

Currently, they are in 8 regions and their number is small, but by 2030 there should be about 18 thousand, experts note.
