India is actively developing modern technologies in agriculture

According to recent reports, India is focusing on regenerative agriculture by launching a specialized platform, AgXelerate.

This platform is expected to connect numerous agricultural sector participants, even those physically located far apart and often in different countries.

This includes various startups, incubators, and investors. The platform’s creators cite the United States and the United Kingdom, Brazil and the Netherlands, Israel, Australia, and Argentina as countries where participants are located.

In other words, by joining this project, farmers, researchers, and investors from around the world will be able to actively communicate and collaborate. This should, among other things, drive the development of scientific research and the rapid implementation of advanced practices and technologies in the agricultural sector.

Experts believe that such a platform could be particularly relevant for India.

The country is home to approximately 150 million small farms, and connections between them are weak. Connecting them to a single platform can have a significant impact both in terms of sharing experiences and attracting investment.

This is especially true in situations where a farm would like to implement new technologies or has even created its own innovations, but lacks the resources to launch such a project.

At the same time, providing technology to small farmers is key to the further development of the agricultural sector in India, according to many analysts.

A unique feature of this country is that 80% of its agricultural sector is made up of small farms. Consequently, without making advanced technologies accessible to the majority of these farms, developing agriculture in India becomes difficult.

This, in turn, creates risks for the country’s food security.

Furthermore, the use of modern technologies can greatly help Indian farmers increase their productivity and profitability. Assisting them in this is also a priority for the government.

Overall, most developers and platform participants believe that the future of agriculture lies in collaboration, not isolation.

Strengthening partnerships between companies and countries could be key to increasing the efficiency of the agricultural sector globally. Experts believe that developments like AgXelerate will contribute to this.
