NCSP performance results for the first half of 2020

PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (PJSC NCSP) is the third largest port operator in Europe in terms of cargo turnover and the largest in Russia.

The company’s assets include the port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, and the port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad region.

The company’s published data on consolidated cargo turnover for the period January — June 2020 showed a decrease of 9.4% compared to the same period in 2019.

The total cargo turnover amounted to 62.7 million tons.

The main drop is observed in the segment of liquid, general and container cargo.

Transshipment of liquid cargo — 50.8 million tons (- 8.9%).

Crude oil turnover had a significant impact on the figures, which amounted to 5.8 million tons, down 15.5%.

The fall is due to global trends against the backdrop of the COVID — 19 pandemic.

At the same time, the transshipment of light oil products increased in this segment — 1.2 million tons (+ 8.2%).

Transshipment of dry cargo — 11.8 million tons (- 11.3%).

Including bulk cargo — 3.6 million tons (+ 21%).

However, their growth was significantly offset by the drop in ferrous metals transshipment volumes: 5.1 million tons (-18.6%).

2020 year — 6 323 thousand tons

The increase in the share of total exports was 29%, and in tonnage — 49%.

At the same time, the share of the remaining two ports — leaders practically did not change.
