Against the background of steadily growing grain prices, the volume of grains and legumes shipped by Russian exporters in October amounted to 5,231 thousand tons.
Backlog from September 2020 was only 3.2%.
But by October last year, there was a tangible increase of 13.1%.
A slight reshuffle occurred in the «five» leading Russian exporters.
The leader is still Trading House «Rif», despite the fact that in October the company shipped 7% less volume in September, ending the month with a result of 881,355 tons.
JSC «Aston» reduced the volumes by the same percentage, moving to third place.
With a growth of 37.67%, LLC Mirogroup Resources took second place: 678,489 tons
Grain terminals of Novorossiysk practically did not reduce the shipped volumes in September: -1.7%, but compared to last year the growth was 34.8%.
Having transshipped almost half of the Russian grain that was exported, NCSP terminals showed the best October result in the company’s modern history.
1 595 million tons of Russian wheat were shipped:9% less than in September, but 15.3% more than in October 2019, also hitting all-time highs.
The main countries are importers working through the Novorossiysk terminals: the countries of North Africa, Black Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, South-West Asia.
Russian barley was shipped in the amount of 253.431 thousand tons — 90% more than in September. And here, too, is NCSP’s record for October shipments.
Corn went abroad 16.5 thousand tons — 44.7% more than in September.
Russia is finishing harvesting grain and leguminous crops — exporters are tensely awaiting the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture, promised at the end of the harvest, to introduce quotas on grain exports.
