The export of barley decreased significantly.
According to the analytical platform of the TBI GC Logistic OS, export shipments of main grain crops (wheat, barley, corn) through Russian sea terminals in November 2020 amounted to 3.14 million tons, including:
wheat — 2.69 million tons
corn — 0.2 million tons
barley — 0.25 million tons.
Compared to the previous month, the total volume of shipments decreased by 45.5 thousand tons (-1.4%).
Shipments of wheat and corn increased by 74.5 thousand tons (+ 2.8%) and 30.4 thousand tons (+ 18.3%), respectively, and barley decreased by 150.4 thousand tons (-37.2 %).
The leader in transshipment at the end of November 2020 is the port of Novorossiysk, where about 1.8 million tons of grain cargo were loaded onto ships, its share is 56.7% of the total transshipment volumes through the ports of the Russian Federation.
Rostov-on-Don and Tuapse with volumes of 0.26 million tons and 0.25 million tons in the second and third positions, their shares amounted to 8.4% and 8.1%, respectively.
The most popular destination for export of grain cargo through the ports of Russia is Egypt with a volume in November 2020 of more than 1 million tons (32.8% of total exports).
0.76 million tons were shipped to Turkey (its share was 24.3%).
Sudan in November increased the volume of imports by more than 3.8 times and took the third position with the volume of 0.24 million tons of grain cargo (its share was 7.7%).
