Exports of agricultural products in Russia increased by 13%

Subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Agroexport center informs that as of June 20, products worth about $ 13.5 billion have been sold abroad.

This is about 13% more than for the period January-June 2020, and by the end of this year it is planned to sell products worth about $ 30 billion. (in 2020, revenue was $ 30.7 billion).

Exports of grain crops as of June 20, 2021 increased by 11%, which is about $ 3.8 billion.

Sales of fat and oil products (by 39% — $ 3.2 billion), processed and food products (by 2% — $ 1.7 billion), dairy and meat products (by 26%, $ 603 million) also increased. …

Other products of the agro-industrial complex were sold by 10% more (1.9 billion dollars). Sales of fish and seafood products decreased by more than 3% ($ 2.1 billion).

China remains the leader among importers, having bought more than 13% of Russian products.

Basically, poultry and beef meat, fish, beans, grain, soybean, rapeseed and sunflower oil, chocolate are sent to the PRC.

Turkey occupies a conditional second place in the rating (approximately 12.1%) — here sales increased by 9% (1.6 billion dollars) compared to the same period last year.

Apart from China and Turkey, the main buyers are Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and South Korea.

Exports to the EU countries grew by 28% (1.6 billion dollars, of which 12% is income to the state treasury).

In April, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin noted that it is necessary to support the export of agricultural products, increasing the added value.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev said that sales of grain with increased value added increased:

— “In 2020, we achieved a solid increase in agricultural products. The export of fish products is developing noticeably. Last year, due to the pandemic, problems appeared in this direction — in particular, cooperation with China became more complicated, because forced restrictions on the number of supplies were applied. Considering these factors, constructive negotiations with Chinese partners are underway today. We are also expanding routes and opening new markets for export through Korea and Japan «.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke about the growing demand for Russian food products abroad.

The geography of exports is constantly changing, which is why the government of the Russian Federation is considering simplifying the procedure for registering goods for their sale abroad.
