Last year, the region became the leader in Russia in terms of grain and leguminous crops harvest.
In the south of the region, 4.5 thousand hectares have already been harvested. The average yield was 39.9 centners per hectare.
In total, the region’s farmers will have to cultivate 3.25 million hectares of fields. Last year, crops were harvested on a similar area with a result of 12.6 million tons, which allowed the region to become the leader in the country.
It is important that the regional government has been subsidizing agricultural equipment purchased by farmers for 10 years, realizing the importance of the technical preparedness of enterprises for harvesting.
During this time, the amount of state support amounted to more than 3 billion rubles. Since the beginning of 2021 alone, more than 300 million rubles have been paid.
Accordingly, the pace of renewal of the fleet of equipment is also growing: from the beginning of 2021 purchased
480 tractors (+ 44.5%)
210 combine harvesters (+ 26.5%)
1 050 units of other equipment (+ 13%)
(growth rates are indicated in comparison with the same period in 2020).
In general, in the 2021/22 agricultural year, the region plans to increase the volume of agricultural exports to $ 5.4 billion.
Cereals, as a rule, account for 60% of the region’s agricultural exports.
In the new agricultural season, given the significant volumes of grain reserves, expectations of a good harvest and the current situation on world markets, there is every reason to count on an increase in the rate of export deliveries.
The development of export-oriented logistics infrastructure continues: the implementation of four investment projects is underway, which will increase the throughput capacity of the terminals of the ports of Azov and Taganrog by at least 13 million tons.
Growth in agricultural production and improved product quality are key conditions for the growth of agricultural exports.
