Russian farmers need to plan their activities based on new realities.
In the global food market, post-form competition continues: the problems with the incidence of diseases in the world are not abating, and countries continue to increase stocks of grain, oilseeds, sugar and vegetable oil.
And if the agrarians hoped to soften the «grain damper», then the answer received from government sources was unequivocal: such a possibility is not being discussed.
Moreover, the budget for 2022 is already being drawn up taking into account the effect of export duties on grain.
A number of Russian farmers have reduced sales of grain crops and are increasing stocks, hoping for the lifting of restrictions.
Last season, many agricultural producers made good money: a sharp rise in world prices and the dollar exchange rate brought ruble prices to a very high level.
Therefore, some farmers can afford to keep their balances counting on new spikes in prices, and there is no shortage of storage capacity in Russia for a long time.
The price of grain is now at a level that, in the opinion of the relevant departments, allows agricultural producers to plan further development.
But, if for this year’s harvest, many bought fertilizers and equipment at the old prices, now everything is growing very much in price, which will affect the cost of agricultural crops.
Agreements on temporary freezing of prices, which the state concludes with producers of fertilizers and pesticides, expansion of the system of subsidies for the purchase of domestic agricultural machinery, of course, mitigate the situation, but the losses that will fall on the industry are several times higher.
