The Don agroindustry is on the rise: indicators are also growing in other sectors of agriculture.
The region harvested 12.685 million tonnes of early grains. This is the best result among Russian regions in the entire history.
Winter wheat harvested 11.33 million tons. By the end of October — November, the harvest of late grains will also replenish the donation box of the Don agrarians.
At the same time, 97% falls on food wheat of 3-4 classes.
The harvest is 10% of the total harvest forecast in Russia.
The region sets records, despite unfavorable climatic conditions: an abnormal drought in the fall of 2020 and heavy rainfall in the spring of 2021.

8-10 years ago, the grain harvest, including late grains, was no more than 7 million tons: thus, production has practically doubled.
The reasons for the success, according to the first deputy governor of the Rostov region, Viktor Goncharov, are in the use of high-quality sowing material, rational crop rotation, in a modern system of soil cultivation and fertilization.
The system of state support allows enterprises to update their fleet of equipment in a timely manner.
In addition to the records in grain harvesting, agricultural enterprises of the region and farmers in the first half of the year increased their production of meat by 38.9%, milk — by 5%.
Production of bakery products increased 5.4 times (compared to the first half of 2020)
Meat and offal of edible poultry — 4.9 times growth.
Meat semi-finished products — 3 times more
Curd: + 24%
Cheese: + 11.4%.
In 2021, 6.28 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of the agro-industrial complex and agricultural territories.
