Russian farmers will be able to directly cooperate with one of the largest food retailers.
Rosselkhozbank is a key lender of the country’s agro-industrial complex, and is one of the country’s largest banks in terms of capital and assets.
In 2020, the bank, on its platform, created a whole ecosystem for Russian farmers «Own Farming», within which farmers can buy seeds, fertilizers, feed, lease agricultural equipment, consult a veterinarian 24/7, and also have a large set of business -services: online accounting, document constructor, assistance in opening a store, etc.
In January 2021, Rosselkhozbank and one of the country’s largest food retailers, the Magnit retail chain, signed an agreement aimed at supporting and promoting farm products in the Magnit chain of stores.
The main task set by Rosselkhozbank and Magnit is to enable small local farms to sell their products in the Magnit network.
The pilot project was launched in the Tula region and Krasnodar region.
Now the possibility of direct cooperation between farmers and the retail network «Magnit» has appeared in Moscow, the Moscow region and the nearest regions of the Central Federal District.
On the RSHB Svoe Farmerstvo platform, farmers can fill out a special application form and submit a commercial offer for the supply of their goods directly to the procurement department of Magnit.
Further, the compliance of the products with certain selection criteria is checked and a cooperation agreement is concluded.
Thus, Rosselkhozbank creates the shortest path from producers of farm products to consumers.
For its part, Manit has created a lightweight contract for farmers, designed specifically for small suppliers who find it difficult to meet the requirements of a large business.
Manufacturers who will supply their products under the agreement between RSHB and the Magnit chain will receive information support in the design of advertising materials and marketing campaigns.
“Magnit” plans to organize training seminars for farmers and give possible answers to questions about working with the network.
It is difficult for small farms to go out with their products to the general consumer.
Participation in a joint project of Rosselkhozbank and the Magnit network gives them such an opportunity.
