In the winter of 2021, Rosselkhoznadzor began working with the competent authorities of Malaysia on the possibility of exporting Russian meat and meat products to the country.

On November 26, the assistant to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Artem Daushev held negotiations with the Department of Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Food Quality and Safety Department of the Ministry of Health of Malaysia.

Russian producers are interested in obtaining the right to export beef, poultry, lamb and dairy products to Malaysia.

Previously, the Rosselkhoznadzor sent its Malaysian colleagues information on ensuring the quality and safety of such goods in Russia.

Also, data on enterprises interested in export will be sent.

The Malaysian side has started studying the information received and assessing possible risks.

Artem Daushev noted that Russia supplies meat and dairy products to a large number of countries, including Asian countries.

Malaysia is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia.

Given that European countries adhere to a sanctions policy, active cooperation with Asian countries is one of the most promising areas.
