Krasnodar Territory plans to increase exports of agricultural products to $ 3.9 billion by 2024

The priority task is to increase the export of processed agricultural products with high added value.

Exports of this category of goods since 2015 have grown 4.5 times to 1.8 million tons (2020).

In the total structure of exports, the share of finished products increased in 2020 to 30%, and in 2015 this figure was slightly above 8%.

In the coming years, the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, has set the task of bringing the ratio of raw materials and non-raw materials exports to equal values.

Krasnodar Territory is one of the main agricultural regions of Russia.

At the same time, grain crops account for the main share in exports: 64%.

In the category of processed products with high added value, the leading products of the fat and oil industry: over four years, supplies abroad have grown 2.5 times.

This year, goods of fat and oil products were shipped abroad in the amount of $ 522 million, and the export plan was fulfilled by 62%.

At the moment, the region cooperates with 34 countries of the world and plans to further expand its geography: Germany plans to purchase vegetable oils, and Switzerland and the Netherlands — vegetable oil cakes.

The farmers plan to expand their assortment by including non-traditional types of oils: flax, mustard, hemp and camelina.

Not only sunflower oils and grain are successfully exported by the Krasnodar Territory.

Ice cream, condensed milk and cheeses are supplied to 26 countries of the world.

The export of ice cream has increased 8 times over five years.

Condensed milk is rightfully considered a unique export product of the Krasnodar Territory — the volume of its supplies increased to $ 4 million (an increase of 13%).

The export of sugar has increased 10 times in four years, it is sent to 30 countries of the world.

Exports of confectionery products doubled to $ 10 million, and the number of importing countries increased from 13 to 36.

Kuban ranks first in Russia in the production of wine and champagne, and exports it to 19 countries.

Over the two years of the regional project «Export of agricultural products», Kuban has shown growth in all priority areas, and by the end of 2020, the region exported agricultural products worth more than $ 2.9 billion against the plan of $ 2.5 billion.

The introduction this year of a new measure of state support for processing enterprises in the form of leasing equipment will increase the export of finished products.
