The objective of the project is to combine goods from the manufacturer and optimize logistics.
The Federal Center «Agroexport» under the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia announced a tender for the creation of the concept of a national distributor of agricultural products.
The initial price of the contract is 24 million rubles.
The winner of the competition will have to conduct interviews with at least 20 Russian agro-industrial complex manufacturers, on the basis of these interviews, analyze the models of work for export deliveries of products and propose their own concept.
As a result, the contractor will have to submit a «practice-oriented» road map «that will allow the creation and development of a national distributor of agricultural products.
The national distributor will be required to bring suppliers to new markets and increase supply in target markets. Asia, the Middle East and Africa were named among the promising regions under sanctions.
The distributor will have access to logistics and storage of goods and assist Russian companies in finding partners abroad, delivering goods and customs clearance.
A private company can also become a distributor, but, in any case, there should not be competition for existing exporters.
The organizers of the competition assume that the national distributor will help combine goods from different manufacturers and form larger batches of goods, which will optimize logistics, including by reducing its cost.
For small companies, the issue of promotion and distribution is very important, since they cannot create their own service of export companies and therefore go to intermediaries.
It should be noted that most of the services of the national distributor will be paid, while the state will be able to partially compensate for the costs.
Part of the functions of a national distributor can be outsourced.
The concept being developed will not overlap with the existing Russian Export Center (REC) and the support measures it provides.
The REC, among other things, provides financial support to exporters: it issues loans, provides bank guarantees, and provides insurance services.
In addition, the center interacts with relevant authorities, proposes measures to improve export activities.
The volume of exports of agricultural products is constantly growing.
In 2021, Russia supplied agricultural raw materials and food to foreign markets for $37.1 billion
This year, this figure may increase to $40 billion, and by 2030, the volume of exports of the agro-industrial complex may grow to $47 billion.
