Over the past week, grain prices inside Russia have shown growth, which increases the profitability of producers and exporters.
According to the latest data, over the past week, prices for wheat with protein in deep-sea ports have increased by 2-3%. On average, a ton of wheat now costs 16-16.3 thousand rubles.
Export prices for wheat are now about $220 per ton.
Moreover, over the past week, there has been a decrease of about $2.
This may be due to the fact that Russia has to compete in the global grain market with other producing countries, such as Bulgaria and Romania.
At the same time, experts expect further price growth and are mostly confident that they have already reached the minimum point. Several factors may contribute to this.
Firstly, wheat exporters are currently very active, as well as enterprises that process it.
In particular, we are talking about feed producers who are trying to increase their reserves. This is relevant for them against the background of concerns about the feed wheat harvest.
Secondly, wheat producers are mostly trying to hold on to their stocks now, since selling them at current low prices means ensuring low profitability.
For this reason, producers are trying to hold on to their products for now, which reduces the current supply on the market and causes a price increase.
However, analysts believe that it is unlikely that producers will be able to hold on to their stocks for a long time.
The lack of financial reserves will certainly lead to the fact that if prices do not become favorable for them in the near future, they will have to sell their products at the prices that have been established on the market.
Thirdly, a factor in the growth of prices in the Russian Federation may be the growth of prices on the world market.
There, it is largely due to the fact that Ukraine is losing its export potential, which can be largely replaced by supplies from Russia.
Finally, experts point out that on August 8, a tender was held to supply 600-700 thousand tons of wheat to Algeria.
There are good reasons to believe that Russia will supply a significant part of this volume.
A big positive for farmers was the reduction in the export duty, which fell from 444 rubles to 257 rubles in a week.
This reduction significantly increases the revenue of exporters even if prices remain at the same level.
