Experts note that over the year, most of the products needed to make pancakes have shown a slight increase.
According to the latest data, to make 12 pancakes today, you need to spend 2% more money than a year ago.
Such price growth was recorded in retail chains that are part of the Association of Retail Companies (AKORT). It is noted that the cost of those same 12 pancakes today will be about 60 rubles.
The following products were taken into account in the calculations: 3 eggs, 240 ml of milk, 150 grams of flour, as well as vegetable oil, sugar and salt.
At the same time, if you buy everything you need not in large chains, but in small stores, there is a risk of overpaying up to 16 rubles, since the cost of the announced products there can be 76 rubles.
Despite the fact that the numbers seem small, this is an overpayment of more than 20%, experts note.
At the same time, the prices of individual products included in the pancakes increased less than the general inflation rate, and in some cases even showed a decrease.
For example, the cost of a dozen eggs fell: over the year, it decreased by 11% and now amounts to 96 rubles.
Analysts note that it was the drop in the price of eggs that helped the «pancake» set to remain almost unchanged in price during the year, since many other products from this set have meanwhile become more expensive.
It is noted that many retailers are interested in not allowing products to become more expensive.
«Retail chains constantly provide the lowest possible prices for socially significant food products, which include products for making pancakes, and also provide additional support to consumers in the run-up to Maslenitsa week,» notes the chairman of the AKORT presidium, Igor Karavaev.
However, if we talk about pancakes with filling (sour cream, honey, red fish and red caviar), their cost has increased more than significantly over the year, by more than a third.
12 such pancakes will cost about 480 rubles today. The price of salmon caviar has increased the most, but sour cream has also increased in price — by 20%, and honey — by almost 10%.
Thus, we see that if the main products needed to make pancakes have increased in price slightly, this cannot be said about the fillings.
In general, this shows that there is an increase in food prices in Russia, and it is quite strong.
Considering that general inflation in the Russian Federation remains high, experts do not rule out that in a year we will see a noticeable increase in the price of pancakes compared to today.
