The President signed a law that significantly expands the opportunities for farmers and can help develop the entire agricultural sector.
Vladimir Putin recently signed the law on farms. In 10 days, when it comes into force, the rules of the game in the agro-industrial complex will change in many ways.
Firstly, farmers receive the right to carry out their activities both in the format of a legal entity and without creating a legal entity.
Previously, registering an LLC was a mandatory step in order to start their activities in this market.
Thanks to the simplification of the rules, there is reason to expect that now more farmers are going to engage in the production of plant and animal products, experts note.
Secondly, with the adoption of the new law, the number of bureaucratic procedures that novice farmers must go through should be significantly reduced.
At the same time, it is no secret that the difficulties with the execution of a large number of documents scared off many people who were thinking about starting to work in this area, especially young people.
As for farmers who decide to register as a legal entity, they will receive more rights than they had before.
For example, they will have a simplified procedure for obtaining loans and contracts, as well as protecting their interests in court.
Finally, the new law defines the concept of a farm and what it includes in more detail. In particular, such a farm may include land plots and equipment, as well as any other assets that may be necessary for farming.
It is planned that clarifying the definitions will help reduce the number of bureaucratic obstacles and, in general, will help to increase the transparency of farmers’ activities.
According to some analysts, the emergence of this law will help ensure that the agricultural sector in Russia continues its active development.
In turn, this will contribute to both increasing food security in the country and improving living conditions for rural residents.
Now everything will depend on how actively new players enter the Russian agricultural market, experts say.
The more farmers want to start their own business, the greater the chance that the Russian economy will be able to grow thanks to this, and in addition, the country will have the opportunity to further strengthen its position in the international market.
