The Ministry of Agriculture will support the Russian regions with money

The Russian government plans to subsidize agricultural producers. At the same time, the amount of subsidies is proportional to the volume of the harvest.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has already signed a corresponding order.

According to him, grain producers should receive state support, in particular — wheat, rye, barley and corn.

In general, it is planned to spend about 10 billion rubles on subsidizing 62 regions.

Distribution by region is as follows:

Voronezh region — 492.7 million rubles.

Kursk region — 419 million rubles.

Stavropol Territory — 467 million rubles.

Belgorod region — 298.7 million rubles.

Tambov region — 249 million rubles.

Lipetsk region — 203 million rubles.

Crimea — 50 million rubles.

At the same time, according to the head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov, farmers in this region will be able to cover up to 50% of all their costs for production and sale of products from this amount.

How will Russian grain exports change in the current season?

All the facts speak in favor of the fact that it should be reduced.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has already lowered its export forecast for 2021-2022.

“According to preliminary estimates, in the 2021–2022 season, grain exports will amount to 45–48 million tons,” said the head of the department, Dmitry Patrushev.

Earlier the forecast was 51 million tons.

The obvious reason for the decline in exports was the reduction in crop volumes.

Despite the fact that in some regions it is not worse and even better than last year, in many significant regions there was a decrease.

For example, in the Belgorod region, the grain harvest this year is 18% less than a year earlier.

At the same time, the US Department of Agriculture (FAO) expects that this year about 777 million tons of wheat will be harvested in the world.

At the same time, low yields in Canada and Russia can be compensated for by very good results in Eastern Europe and Australia.

In general, experts expect that in the 2021-2022 season, 2,800 million tons of grain will be harvested in the world.

However, the estimated consumption level is higher — about 2811 million tons. This suggests that a deficit may still arise.

At the same time, Russia has completely resolved the issue of its own food security.

«Largely thanks to your conscientious, selfless work, even in difficult weather conditions this year, a good harvest has been reaped.

The country’s needs for all major food groups are almost fully met, «Russian President Vladimir Putin said at yesterday’s meeting with representatives of the agro-industrial complex.
