Aston plans to significantly increase its cargo fleet

On January 21, 2022, the keel of the eighth dry-cargo ship for the Rostov company Aston was laid at the JiangSu DaJin shipyard.

It is planned to be launched in April this year.

Currently, this company already has 6 river-sea vessels.

In total, the company plans to increase their number to 28, and within the next year. The total volume of cargo transported by these ships should be about 628 000 tons.

It is important that all new vessels will be equipped with modern engines that ensure the minimum amount of harmful emissions into the environment.

This should help Aston achieve green company status with a good carbon footprint.

Also, the increase in the fleet should help to significantly increase the speed of delivery of goods.

“For three years, ASTON has been building ships together with the JiangSu DaJin plant. We are more than satisfied with the performance and quality of the vessels already commissioned.

Because we are constantly improving the design of bulk carriers under construction, the seventh and eighth vessels are practically works of art.

They can carry more cargo, develop good speed, and are also economical,” says Vadim Vikulov, President of Aston Group of Companies.
