All-Russian Grain Forum

The Union of Grain Exporters, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, will organize the All-Russian Grain Forum, which will be held May 26-28, 2022 at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Sochi.

The theme of the plenary session of the Forum is Russia’s food security in the context of global market challenges.

During it, topical issues of the functioning and regulation of the domestic grain market in the context of global volatility, sanctions and financial restrictions, and global food inflation will be discussed.

Special guests of the plenary session will be senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for regulating food markets, developing crop production and processing crops.

During the seminars, Forum participants will be able to discuss the preliminary results of the outgoing and forecasts for the upcoming 2022/23 agricultural year, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure and trade strategies in the context of current restrictions on the export of grain and other crops.

“The All-Russian Grain Forum is conceived as a new communication platform for the grain market ecosystem,” commented Eduard Zernin, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Grain Exporters, “We rely on the interest and successful experience of holding our strategic sessions and expect that the new event will become a platform for discussion and exchange opinions not only of grain exporters and representatives of the industry regulator, but also of the owners and managers of the country’s largest agricultural holdings, infrastructure, stevedoring and logistics companies, representatives of the financial sector and other market participants.

“The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is interested in creating a professional discussion platform with key participants in the grain market. Modern realities require joint efforts to ensure the country’s food security and strengthen its position in the world market. Only in a constructive dialogue can effective solutions be developed to achieve these goals in the face of global challenges,” Oksana Lut, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, commented on the news about the Forum. “We liked the experience of an open dialogue with leading grain exporters and representatives of key infrastructure companies during the strategic sessions of the Union of Grain Exporters. We are ready to discuss topical issues of industry regulation in an expanded format by inviting agricultural producers, grain traders, representatives of logistics and other companies,” she added.

The event will be held in a live format, in compliance with all necessary sanitary standards and restrictions in force on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation at the time of the event.
